CITY OF NEHALEM ELECTIONS
Election materials are available for City residents interested in running for the offices of Mayor or City Councilor of Nehalem. The Mayor position has a two (2) year term of office beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2028. The two City Councilor positions both have four (4) year terms of office beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2030. All positions are elected from the city at large.
The first day for candidates to file is June 3, 2026.
To qualify, candidates must have resided within the city limits of Nehalem for at least twelve (12) months immediately prior to the date of the election, which is November 3, 2026, and be a registered voter. Visit ci.manzanita.or.us for more information.

or may be obtained at Nehalem City Hall, 35900 8th St between 9:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Thursday or 9:00am and 12:00pm Friday by appointment. To ensure signatures have time to be validated, completed nomination forms must be returned to the City Hall no later than 4:00pm Thursday August 6, 2026.
